Easter is approaching. Portia is asked to participate in an Easter egg painting party. At the community center, she meets with all the regular members of the entertainment committee and with another person – a man by the name of Charles Brixton. Later she learns that Brixton is in town undercover. He works for the police department in Seattle. Before the painting begins Lydia Cardura excuses herself – she needs to go the ladies’ room to gobble down her eggs. When Lydia is found dead in one of the cubicles, Detective David Sutherland is called to the scene. The M.E. determines that Lydia has been poisoned. One of her eggs was covered with cyanide. During the investigation, David has occasions to learn that his friend and colleague Charles Brixton is involved in the shutting down of a drug cartel located in Yakima. Lydia’s death was a warning from the drug cartel not to pursue the ADA’s investigation. Will the police be able to shut down the cartel’s operation in Yakima and Seattle? Will they find who killed Lydia – the ADA’s wife?
